Growing Watercress
Watercress is a semi-aquatic plant; the stems are hollow which allows water to travel upwards to nourish the leaves. In order to thrive, watercress must be kept constantly wet. We grow our watercress in purpose built drains. It takes around six to eight weeks for our watercress to grow to harvest stage.

They grow a hybrid of the cayenne chilli (long red and green medium heat) and green jalapeno chilli. For any bulk sale inquiries please contact us.

NUTRITIONAL WATERCRESS
Watercress blows other vegetables out of the water when it comes to taste and nutrition.
Most of us are very aware that it’s a good idea to eat green, leafy vegetables and colourful fruits. Much research has linked them with reducing cancer and chronic disease. But which vegetables are best? Researchers ranked “Powerhouse Fruits and Vegetables” by the amounts of fibre, potassium, protein, calcium, folate, vitamin B12, vitamin A and vitamin D they contain.
And the winner: Watercress.
This unassuming aquatic plant hasᅠa nutrient density score of 100%. Move over, kale. Watercress is more versatile, more nutrient-dense, and it even tastes better. If you are looking for food to eat to improve your health and shrink your waistline, look no further than watercress.
This peppery, leafy little green is one of our natural superfoods. Pile it into sandwiches, toss into salads, incorporate it into wonderful soups, sauces, pestos, dips, blend it into smoothies, steam it or wilt into pastas or stir fries, serve as an accompaniment to a great piece of meat or fish. Watercress is incredibly versatile.
A small plant which packs a complex, nutritious punch, gram for gram, watercress gives you:
